Father’s Day crafts are always good for a great pun! My dad and my hubby are big fishermen so working with my boys we came up with some fun printable labels and gift tags for Father’s Day. I’ll share one set for the next three days. They’re all super easy and can be assembled with Elmer’s Glue All and/or Elmer’s Foam Adhesive Strips.
For this easy Father’s Day gift tag craft, you only need a few things. And what I love most about it is you can attach it to just about anything fishing related. It’s not specific to a big or small gift. What’s more, this craft is perfect for little hands. The cuts are easy and making the fishing pole is fun!
Craft Supplies for Father’s Day Gift Tag
- Elmer’s Glue All
- Lollipop Stick
- Twine
- Scissors
- Free Printable Hook Line & Sinker Fish Gift Tags | Kim Byers
- Optional: Hole punch
Easy How To Instructions
- Print – download and print my Hook Line & Sinker Gift Tags. I recommend a #100lb. white cardstock.
- Cut and Glue – trim out each fish. There are several on the sheet. Glue the bundle together at the lips.
- Make Fishing Pole – using a lollipop stick, pipe a small line of glue 1 inch long at end. Wrap twine, starting at the bottom of glue line, working toward end of stick. Allow excess twine to hand down about 7 inches.
- Attach Fish – using Elmer’s School Glue, attach fish to the end of the line.
Another idea for this fun tag is to attach it to a small tackle box full of dad’s or grandpa’s favorite fishing supplies!
