She shared that her inspiration for the black & white decor was the newsprint food-safe fry basket liners she used and she continued this striking theme throughout. Her presentation prowess is obvious with the clever way she displays the appetizer dishes -- lots of colorfully tempting foods against ... [Read More]

peek: crafting my son’s party

peek: crafting my son’s party

Pics taken with my iPhone and Camera+ app. Collage made with the PicFrame app. My little guy will be turning six in less than a week and his party is in nine days!  Woo Hoo! We've developed a new line of camp party printables (the invite is in the shoppe and the other items will be soon) and I'm busy planning away.  The day will be full of camp fare from the CAMP COLE SNACK SHACK and we're hosting tons of fun activites like potato sack races, tug of war, and archery (with NERF bows of course! I mean, he is only six!)! Oh, and if you're wondering why the pic says "Day 20," thats because I'm photojournaling our summer and yesterday was Day 20. (You can follow our adventures on Instagram at TheCelebrationShoppe.) As always, I hope your inspired to craft, bake and create! Have a ... [Read More]

Emma’s rock princess birthday!

Emma’s rock princess birthday!

[pinit count="vertical" url="http://blog.thecelebrationshoppe.com/2012/06/20/emmas-rock-princess-birthday/" image_url="http://blog.thecelebrationshoppe.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/The-Celebration-Shoppe-Girls-Rock-5388-sm.jpg" description="Hot Pink and Tiffany Blue Rock Princess Birthday Party! With printable party supplies from thecelebrationshoppe.com" float="right"] Emma just turned seven and she rocked it out with our new Girls Rock printable party collection in Tiffany blue, hot pink and red! Emma's mom, Bridget, set up the perfect scene. All the girls entered into a "green room" setting where they could get ready for the red carpet. They dolled up like rock princesses with fun makeup (i.e., glitter lip gloss), feather boas, sunglasses and girls rock tattoos! Once ... [Read More]

switch & go dinosaur toys

switch & go dinosaur toys

This post brought to you by VTechKids. All opinions are 100% mine. We're a house of dinosaur lovers. We read books about dinosaurs, we've had a dinosaur birthday party (seen in Parents magazine... still tickled about that), we have tons of dinosaur toys and most recently picked out dinosaur decor for the little guys bedroom. So when Vtech asked if I'd like to try out their new Switch & Go Dinos, I was all in and the boys were super excited telling me that I have the best job in the world. {grin} The boys ripped open the packages immediately and quickly transformed the dinos back and forth between dinos and their alter ego car versions. They loved how super easy the toys are to transform (we have some that take forever and never quite look the same after the first ... [Read More]

patriotic party finds

patriotic party finds

I've been shopping around for goodies for my little guys upcoming birthday and ran into World Market late last week (photos taken with my iPhone) to see if they had any rustic items I could use for his camp party snack table. I found some things for his party and these lovely patriotic items perfect for my 4th of July picnic: The soda crates sold me! I love the vintage look to display old fashion creamsicle drinks and Coke bottles. The stripe drink dispenser will be great for sweet tea... remember... I am a southern transplant to Ohio.   The metal picnic basket might double as a chip bag caddy. The American flag throw pillows will go perfectly on the swing. The popcorn bowls will grace our blankets while we watch fireworks. And when I hop over to World Market to link ... [Read More]

DIY fairy garden

DIY fairy garden

Remember my super-talented art teacher friend, Becky? The one that created the patriotic monogram wreath. Well, she has a creative daughter and she put together this bright and cheerful fairy garden perfect for imaginary play this summer! Since I'm always looking for ways to engage my daughters in my own garden, I thought this was brilliant! What a delightful way to get the girls playing in the dirt and still keep things "girly!" Round up her fairy dolls, some simple items from your garage (old pots, maybe a toad abode) or take a trip to your local hardware store, and maybe steal a few stones from your fish tank, then let her work her magic making her own Pixie Hollow! You can find our fairy birthday party supplies in the shoppe. As always, we hope you're inspired to craft, ... [Read More]

DIY patriotic monogram wreath

DIY patriotic monogram wreath

Summer is heating up and the Fourth of July is just around the corner. So my girlfriend Becky, creative mom and fabulous art teacher (and non-blogger), created this simple DIY door decor monogram and is letting us share her creativity with our readers.  Becky describes how she created this flag-inspired craft: With a large paper mache' C from a craft store, I spray painted the whole thing white. I then taped it off with painter's tape for the red stripes, and spray painted it again with a high gloss red paint, then removed the tape. The stars were cut individually out of painter's tape and placed on the C. I then spray painted once more in blue. A bit of touch up with craft paint and TA DA!! I love anything monogram, and plan to add to my collection for every holiday! As always, ... [Read More]
